Create a chatroom for your group only..... why do you need it and how does it work?

Each group can have his own chatroom, only accessible for the members of the group. This option gives you the opportunity to chat with your members in a restricted session. i

Where do you find: create your groups chatroom:

First you see the homesite of Omni-Chat. You can do that by clicking ► here ◄ .

In the left corner you see:

Click on the button "Log on" as shown above and the next screen will appear:

Fill in your nickname of e-mail address of your profile and the corresponding password belonging to your owner-account on Omni-Chat. Click the tab Groups and then on the left on My groups.


 

If you are on the home-page, click on My groups on the left and all your groups will appear. Then click on the name of the group and then choose for Managers tools.
and the next screen will show.:





Click here on Add page as shown above and the next screen will appear:

Now click on "Your own groups chatroom" and fill in the fields as :

In the fields marked with a *, you can define what you want.
- The name of the chatroom can be up to 32 characters.
- The topic indicates something about the contents of the group, but you can fill in whatever you want. The topic can be up to 160 characters .
- The hammercodes gold and brown can be considered as the PIN of your chatroom. Handle these with care. The codes must be between 4 and 10 characters en can be alphabetical and/or numeric.
- The protection against cursing is switched on if  you place the tick in the cell "Yes". The chatroom is now protected against cursing or rude language.


When you click "save" button, you will be automatically redirected to the "Manage pages", where your chatroom is arranged alphabetically. You are able to change like you're used to on that page. Please read the manual:  ► Manage pages ◄.

Customizing the chatroom:
Anytime you want you can change the settings of your chatroom. In case  changes in management have taken place, it is advisable to change the hammer codes. This can be done via the function "Manage pages" by clicking "Edit" on the line of the chatroom. The changes to the chatroom will only take effect when the room has been empty.

Chatoptions:
You can customize the chatoptions per computer. These are stored and used for each chatroom you will visit with your pc where they have been set.

Using the hammer-codes:
We strongly advice that the hammer-codes should be considered as PIN codes. The golden hammer shows that you're the owner and the brown hammer shows that you're the host.




Visiting your group while you're chatting:
If you're in a chatroom and you want to visit your group without leaving the chatconversation, press the right mouse on the tab Groups and let it open a new window or new tab.

Roomscripts / Roombots:
A script is also known as roomscript or roombot. A script is a program and works as a assist for the roomowner. You can not be present 24 hours a day to greet the chatters in your room.
