Profile options/editing on Omni-Chat   ..... how does it work?

Most people chat at Omni-Chat with a registered name.There are chat rooms were "guests" will be not welcome. To participate on our groups, you need to be registered at Omni-Chat. Once the registration is successfully completed, you can edit your profile. If you follow this manual strictly and read carefully, the use of the profiles at Omni-Chat will be easy.

Log on:

Click on the name: ► Omni-Chat ◄  and you go to the home site of Omni-Chat. In the left corner you can log in. Click as the red arrow shows:

After you have clicked on "log on" the next screen wil open and you can enter your nickname or e-mail address and password as you have chosen by registration of Omni-Chat.

Now you return to the home page and you can choose where you want to go, by clicking on each tab. These are located under the logo from right to left. Now click on "my profile" as with the red arrow indicated:
 

The next screen will open in a new window and you can get started in the various parts.

Edit photo:

You've clickt on "My profile" and the first part is photo's.  You can upload your profilephoto with this explanation. Click now on "Edit" as the red arrow shows:

1. By clicking on "Bladeren" you can browse to the photo on your pc. You can now upload three photos or animations direct to your photo album. The first one will be your profilephoto. Underneath is the opportunity for linked images in your photo album. In due time will your profile pictures be arranged from your storage space and amend this manual.
2. By clicking the button "create picture with your webcam" the following screen will appear.

Click om "Toestaan", which means allow, to get access to your webcam. Just pose and if you like what you see, click than underneath on "maak foto".

3. Click on "Save changes" to save your photo.

General information:

The second part is general information and you can get there by clicking the red arrow shows.

This box is a nice toy. You can fill out backgrounds and information as you want. Visibility of age and gender can be a condition of membership of a group. This is determined by the management of the group. For the other fields, we would like to emphasise strongly that it's not recommended to fill in privacy information  here. A profile can say something about someone, without giving any privacy information. On top off we would like to mention that it is not allowed to give incorrect information in your profile.
If you do not want to receive newsletter or if you don't want to get directly into the lobby, ensure that the check marks are disabled.

More about me:

You can reach the field "More about me" by clicking on the button "Edit" by number 1.

A new windows opens where you can fill what you want. The editor can help in preparing this field. Again, we strongly emphasize that it is not advisable to fill in private information.  Close the screen if you want to preserve the last saved layout.

Interests:

You can reach the field "Interests" by clicking on the button "Edit" by number 2. A new windows opens where you can fill what you want.  The editor can help in preparing this field. Again, we strongly emphasize that it is not advisable to fill in private information.  Close the screen if you want to preserve the last saved layout.

Favorite quotes:

You can reach the field "Favorite quotes" by clicking on the button "Edit" by number 3. A new windows opens where you can fill what you want.  The editor can help in preparing this field. Again, we strongly emphasize that it is not advisable to fill in private information.  Close the screen if you want to preserve the last saved layout.

Profile:

The profile-overview shows the following toolbar:

If you click on PROFILE, you find the overview of your profile. You can change whatever you want. Press after the adjustment on "Save" or close the window to undo your changes.

Photo album:

The profile-overview shows the following toolbar:

By clicking on PHOTO ALBUM, you get the overview of your album. By clicking Edit, a new window opens where you can make adjustments as described in: Edit photo.

Blog:

The profile-overview shows the following toolbar:



Everyone is now familiar with blogs and on Omni-Chat they should not be missed. Click on Blog and within your profile, you can keep your own blog. Click as the red arrow shows below and your blog is a fact. You can use the editor to pimp your blog.

At the right in the blog you find the remove-button, which you can use per message. You can also read the blogs of others.

Guestbook

The profile-overview shows the following toolbar:

By clicking on guestbook, you can write in your guestbook or in that of another chatter. You get the following image:

Click on "Write in my questbook" and you can surprise another chatter with a nice and friendly message. A new window opens, where you can post with the help of the editor. Below the screen you are obliged to fill in your name and the validation code. If there is a message in your guestbook, you get a message in the mailbox of the email address associated with your profile. If you wish to edit your guestbook, go to the guestbook your profile.



Block writer IP: By clicking this button, you make it impossible that this another chatter can write in your guestbook. This action cannot be undone.
Remove:          Click this button, you remove the message. Please note that you cannot undo this action.

My Videos:

The profile-overview shows the following toolbar:

By clicking on "My Videos" , you get the next screen:



Click on the button "Add new video" and the next screen will appear:  



First fill in the url of the movie and consider adding a description. Press "Save"  and you'll return to your profile.

You can remove every single movie, by clicking on "My Videos" and than on the "Delete" undereath each video.

Diskspace:

The profile-overview shows the following toolbar:



This part is important for group users. In your profile you can see the storagemeter. It informs you how much space you have left. Click "Storage space" and the next screen will show up:

Move your cursor to the box Diskspace meter, you can see exactly how much storage space you have used/left. You get the following picture:
